On the road to the world of Drifting:

For many years, Vlad Crown has closely followed the global drifting scene. Crown personally built his Nissan race car and quickly blazed his way into the local drifting scene.
In the two years spent in the amateur drifting scene (DriftStar, DriftNation, Canadian Sport Compact Series), Crown consistently placed with podium finishes. This included placing first at the Canadian Sport Compact Series (CSCS) Drifting Competition in June 2007 and second in the DMCC Amateur Competition in August 2007.
In 2008, after making a substantial financial and personal commitment, Crown single-handedly rebuilt his Nissan into a race/drift car that meets DMCC/Formula D standards. He formed Crown Racing and for the first time entered Canada’s professional drifting series. He instantly qualified and regularly placed among the best drivers, placing in the top eight for the first half-year, with a year end result of eleventh place. This was an unprecedented achievement for a non-sponsored, first year driver in the professional series.
